New cruise ships always generate a lot of excitement! There
are innovative, state-of-the-art recreation, exciting entertainment and
delicious new dining concepts to look forward to. Every ship promising to
deliver the ultimate cruising experience.
It looks to me like
the Norwegian Bliss does just that!
Looking for a little action on your next cruise? How about playing some open-air laser tag?
The backdrop for this action-packed game of high tech tag is designed to look
like an abandoned space station. I don’t know who would have more fun, my
husband or our son! Honestly, this is something the whole family can enjoy!
NCL will bring the longest racetrack at sea to Norwegian Bliss. This 1,000-foot-long, two-story track will feature electric race cars
that can reach up to 30 miles per hour. But don’t be alarmed about the
speed. The cars maximum velocity can be
pre-programmed to tailor the experience to the age of the participants.
Headlining in the Bliss Theater will be the 2006 Tony Award
winner for Best Musical, Jersey Boys. The show tells the story of Frankie Valli
and The Four Seasons and features many of their hits including “Sherry,” “Big
Girls Don’t Cry,” “Oh What a Night,” “Walk Like a Man,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off
You,” and “Working My Way Back to You.”
Who can resist Texas barbecue? Not me!
Norwegian’s first ever barbecue joint, Q-Texas Smokehouse, will make its
debut on Norwegian Bliss. Indulge in brisket, ribs, chicken and sausages smoked
over hickory, oak and pecan woods while you stomp your feet to live
contemporary pop country music.
The Cavern Club, which was inspired by the Liverpool club
where the Beatles played in the early 60’s, will host live music, featuring a
Beatles tribute band. I can’t think of
another band that appeals more to multi generations than the Fab Four.
Chocoholics rejoice! Coco’s, the chocolate-themed dessert
restaurant is reason enough for me to book myself on the Bliss! It will feature handmade pralines, truffles,
crepes and other decadent treats paired with fine coffees and teas.
During her inaugural summer season, Norwegian Bliss will
sail weekly seven-day Alaska cruises each Saturday from Pier 66 in Seattle. Beginning
November of 2018 the Bliss will sail to the Caribbean from Miami.
