In order to bring their level of luxury up to the standards of the line's soon to sail Celebrity Edge, the cruise line will spend over $500 million in the coming
years to revitalize nine of its ships. This massive project is nothing short of a Revolution... the “Celebrity Revolution!”
This is especially exciting news for cruisers that love to
sail out of Cape Liberty, New Jersey; particularly those of you that have made
the 7-night Bermuda cruise aboard the Celebrity Summit your summer tradition. That’s
because in early 2019 the Summit will be taken to dry dock and when she emerges
she will be a totally re-imagined ship!
“We’re not just
redesigning the staterooms, we’re tearing them down and building them back up,’
says Brian Abel, VP hotel operations. Every stateroom is being designed with
the sophisticated traveler in mind; that cruiser who has discerning taste and
an eye for contemporary detail. From inside and ocean view accommodations to
Concierge Class, AquaClass and Suites, it will all be brand new!
Celebrity Edge was designed with an exclusive new sanctuary
for Suite Class guests called The Retreat. The Revolution will bring its most
luxurious experiences, The Retreat Sundeck and The Retreat Lounge to the
Summit.
Then there’s the public areas. Guests can expect a redesigned
wellness-focused spa, salon, and fitness center, as well as revamped
restaurants, lounges, designer boutiques and a sleek state-of-the-art casino!
The Celebrity Revolution will give Celebrity Summit’s guests
