Did I hear somebody ask, “Who is John Heald?” If you are a loyal cruiser with Carnival Cruise Line then I’m sure you know John!
But if you haven’t sailed with Carnival Cruise Line (and dare I say you
are certainly missing out on a great deal of fun), let me fill you in a
bit.
Today John Heald is the Brand Ambassador and senior cruise
director of Carnival Cruise Lines as well as a blogger for the cruise line. However, he actually began his career with
Carnival in 1989 in the Food and Beverage Department! It became pretty obvious
early on that this is not where John’s talents lie and in 1990 he became a
Carnival cruise director. By 2004 he was named the senior cruise director of
Carnival.
In 2007, John started writing a blog about that quickly
gained a loyal following and, since its debut, “John Heald’s Blog” has gotten more
than 19 million views, making it one of the most popular travel-related blogs
on the Internet. Suffice to say, he is insanely popular and loved by many!
This week Carnival Cruise Line announced that John will
return to the high seas as cruise director on nine upcoming Carnival voyages! This
will be a great opportunity for guests to meet and chat with him. During the
voyages, John will also take part in the Love & Marriage show, Carnival’s
live morning show and he will host a special event in the Casino. Due to John Heald’s popularity, these voyages
will likely sell out quickly.
