Rhapsody of the Seas Sails into Cape Liberty in 2017

A new Royal Caribbean ship will be sailing from Cape Liberty, New Jersey in 2017…well, not “new” new ship, but new in the sense that it will be her first time sailing out of this northeast port.  The 1,998-passenger Rhapsody of the Seas will be joining Anthem of the Seas, marking the first time that two Royal Caribbean ships will be sailing from Cape Liberty.

Rhapsody of the Seas is a Vision class ship that was built in 1997, but don’t let her age deter you from trying her out! In 2012 she went through a complete bow to stern renovation with additional refurbishment planned before she arrives in Bayonne, New Jersey.

At this time Rhapsody of the Seas features the popular restaurants featured on other Royal Caribbean ships; Giovanni's Table, Izumi Asian Cuisine, Park Cafe, Chops Grille, and Chefs Table. Rhapsody is perfect for families and has two pools and an LED poolside movie screen. Parents and children will enjoy the Adventure Ocean Youth Program as well as the Royal Babies & Tots Nursery!  In addition, the Rhapsody of the Seas includes the Centrum experience; the sophisticated heart of the ship featuring enriching daytime activities, dazzling nightly entertainment and jaw-dropping aerial spectacles.

Rhapsody is expected to sail seven-night trips to the Bahamas throughout next summer, while Anthem is scheduled to sail to Bermuda in the summer and the Caribbean year-round on five-, seven- and nine-night trips.
